Join a dynamic team in a state-of-the-art multidisciplinary operating theatre!
The Ambulatory Surgery Centre (ASC) is seeking a Head Nurse of the Care Unit (HNCU) between 80% and 100% on a permanent contract starting 1 August 2026 (or later) to join the operating theatre.
The ASC includes 7 modern operating rooms, open Monday to Friday, from 7am to 7pm, in a structured and efficient environment.

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Ambulatory Surgery Centre (ASC) offers multidisciplinary interventions in a stable, innovative, and structured environment, providing healthcare professionals with optimal working conditions and patient-centred quality care.
Mission
- You ensure the organisation, coordination, and management of the operating domain activities of the Ambulatory Surgery Centre
- You supervise, support, and develop the skills of the teams under your responsibility
- You guarantee the quality, safety, and efficiency of the services delivered to patients
- You optimise the use of human, material, and organisational resources in your sector
- You actively contribute to development projects and the continuous improvement of the centre’s services.
Profile
- You hold a nursing diploma in the operating domain or a specialisation in anaesthesia
- You have a management certificate, or you are willing to undertake training in this field
- You have confirmed clinical experience (minimum 5 years) in acute care, recognised by your peers
- You are a dynamic, organised, proactive person with a strong sense of responsibility
- You possess clinical, organisational, and management skills
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- You know how to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a team
- You are proficient in common computer applications.
