What you do

• Development and implementation of purchasing and supplier strategy in coordination with purchasing and/or management
• Selection, evaluation and development of suppliers into true partners as well as building long-term, reliable relationships
• Conducting price, contract and condition negotiations to optimise purchasing conditions
• Identification and analysis of new procurement markets as well as evaluation of saving potentials in purchasing and manufacturing processes
• Ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets
• Risk management and ensuring supply security in case of delivery bottlenecks
• Continuous development and documentation of processes and systems in purchasing
• Active support of operational purchasing in commercial, qualitative and logistical problems and participation in day-to-day business
• Support in collecting environmental data, internal reporting and handling customer enquiries

What you bring

• University of applied sciences degree in industrial engineering or business administration and/or comparable educational paths with further training in purchasing
• Several years of experience in strategic and operational purchasing in a technical environment
• Proven negotiation successes with strategically relevant suppliers
• Experience in various manufacturing processes is an advantage
• Very good communication skills, negotiation skills and assertiveness
• Independent, solution-oriented and responsible personality with strong analytical and entrepreneurial thinking
• Fluent language skills in German and English
• Willingness to travel to various locations and suppliers
