In the Department of Structural Engineering + Planning, Building Permits Division, we are looking to strengthen our team from 1 September 2026 or by arrangement with you as an Administrative Employee / Administrative Officer Building Permits.

Your tasks
- Administrative support in the area of building permits, the head of the building permits division, support for the department head and the planning division as well as the structural engineering division if required
- Recording and processing of applications in the building permit procedure including coordination with internal and external specialist offices
- Checking applications for completeness
- Maintenance and management of building files and digital systems
- Providing information on simple building law questions
- Dispatch of protocols, permits and orders
- Assistance with compliance monitoring
Scheduling and deadline monitoring
- Counter and telephone service
- General correspondence
- Support in the application process for commissions and the city council
- Apprenticeship trainer or responsible for the training of apprentices in the Department of Structural Engineering and Planning
Your profile
- Completed commercial basic training, preferably in a municipal administration with several years of experience or further training (e.g. specialist in public administration or CAS public planning and building law)
- Experience in a Zurich structural engineering office
- Enjoyment in dealing with builders, architects and authorities
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, CMI Axioma an advantage)
- Confidence in oral and written expression
- Independent, reliable, structured and precise way of working
- Flexible, reliable and open-minded personality
- Understanding of technical and organisational contexts
