Complex network architectures require expertise that goes far beyond standard solutions. As a Cisco Network Engineer, you take technical responsibility for demanding Cisco enterprise projects, from conception to commissioning. Software Defined Networking and zero-trust approaches are the focus of your work. You move confidently between technical depth and customer communication and actively pass on your knowledge to junior engineers.
Responsibilities:
You design, plan, and implement complex Cisco enterprise networking solutions for demanding customer environments
You primarily work with Cisco Software Defined Access (SDA) including Catalyst Center and with Cisco SD-WAN
You develop network segmentation and zero-trust concepts and implement them in customer projects
You take on the technical leadership of on-premises and hybrid projects and ensure smooth operation
You solve complex technical problems at expert level in 3rd-level support
Additionally, you document solutions, promote knowledge transfer, and support presales activities with technical expertise
Qualifications:
You bring several years of professional experience in enterprise networking at a senior level and master the Cisco portfolio for complex solutions
A Cisco certification such as CCNP or CCIE ideally complements your profile
You have solid experience with classic network technologies such as routing, switching, multicast, and wireless
Interest in automation and infrastructure-as-code is ideally also part of your skill set
Analytical thinking, solution orientation, and a high quality awareness characterise you
Additionally, you have experience in customer projects at a system integrator or in an enterprise IT environment, excellent German skills, and specialised English skills
