About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals comprise the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Each year, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training institution in the canton.
For our Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, we are seeking immediately or by arrangement a Senior Physician / Consultant for the specialised ward in Geriatric Psychiatry.
The Breitenau Psychiatric Centre is, alongside the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service and the Cantonal Hospital, one of several locations of the Schaffhausen Hospitals. The Breitenau Psychiatric Centre in the Breite district of Schaffhausen consists of the Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy with its inpatient, day clinic and outpatient treatment services, as well as long-term psychiatry.

- Management of an acute ward with a treatment focus on "Geriatric Psychiatry"
- Guiding a team in conducting inpatient and outpatient therapies
- Case management of selected outpatient and inpatient patients
- Further development of the competence focus "Geriatric Psychiatry"
- Participation in the collegial on-call service of the clinic
What You Bring to Us
- Completed or advanced training as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy
- Advantageous is having a subspecialty title in geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy or experience in the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic treatment of elderly patients
- Enjoyment and talent in leading teams and realising optimal treatment strategies with patients
