IT/OT Solution Engineer

We are a leading engineering office in the Northwestern Switzerland region and have realized over 8,000 exciting projects in more than 30 years for our customers from the pharmaceutical, biotech, chemical, food, beverage, mechanical engineering, energy & environment, as well as transport & logistics sectors.

We develop system landscapes and big data solutions that meet future digitalization requirements and the high demands of IT security. With our OT Solutions team, we support our customers in projects and daily challenges.

The field of IT/OT is extremely extensive, so we naturally do not expect you to master all activities, systems, and requirements immediately. We always strive for assignments for our employees that match their skills, experience, interests, and future orientation.

Your tasks

Planning and implementing demanding IT projects in the industrial OT (Operational Technologies) environment

Creating concepts and realizing system landscapes that also meet future digitalization requirements

Developing big data solutions to collect, analyze, and prepare production data for further use

Creating business analyses, conducting requirements engineering, computer system validation, and interface engineering for automation and ERP systems

Our system environment

MES systems from Siemens, Emerson, Rockwell, Werum, or customer-specific MES systems

PIMS systems such as AVEVA PI or GeFanuc Historian, VIDEC Acron

Production reports/dashboarding with product-specific and generic reporting tools and business intelligence applications

Connections to various SCADA and control systems

Communication interfaces to ERP systems

Your profile

At least a university of applied sciences degree in computer science, business informatics, engineering, or a comparable education

Good process understanding in the pharmaceutical, food, and chemical sectors

Experience in MES systems or similar applications in the integration layer as well as in OT projects regarding horizontal and vertical communication in production networks

Confident handling of MS Office and IT systems

Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good English skills

Precise, independent, and structured working style, as well as a solution-oriented mindset

Coordination skills, resilience, and ability to work in a team
