About the job
The parish of St. Barbara in Rothenburg is an open and lively parish that actively promotes sustainable faith offerings. As of August 1, 2026, we are looking for a catechist approx. 30%
Your tasks:
- Teaching religious education in the 1st school year in double lessons (Mon)
- Teaching religious education in the 3rd school year (Tue and Wed)
- Organization and design of activities for First Communion preparation
- Collaboration in the catechesis team of the pastoral area Emmen-Rothenburg
- Active participation in process development in the area of children and family
- Participation in team meetings and further training
- Co-design of church services and church events

- Completed catechetical training (ForModula, ...)
- Openly lived Christian faith and connection to the church
- Independent, creative and reliable way of working
- Joy in discovering and living the Roman Catholic faith together with the children
