The Swiss Foundation for the School for Guide Dogs in Allschwil BL has existed since 1972 and is financed through donations, legacies, and the Federal Disability Insurance. It is responsible for the breeding, rearing, and training of guide dogs, assistance and social dogs, and autism companion dogs. The infrastructure is modern and the training concept is of a high standard. We are looking immediately or by arrangement for a Guide Dog Instructor 100% (m/f/d). Your tasks: • Training guide dogs • Introducing the dogs to the respective clients • Follow-up care of the teams • Supervising candidates in information courses • Supervising and instructing clients in further training courses • Managing our internal database • Participating in public relations work, especially tours or demonstrations • Dog care according to duty roster Your profile: • Training as a federally certified guide dog instructor or GDMI certification is an advantage • At least 4 years of experience in the guide dog field • Sound knowledge of modern dog training methods as well as an open attitude towards new findings in dog training • Very good German skills in spoken and written form, French is an advantage • Structured, reliable, and independent personality with very good communication and organisational skills • Driving licence category B We offer you an interesting field of work in a beautiful, natural environment, a responsible and exciting role in a committed team as well as regular training opportunities.
