As a DevOps Engineer, you take ownership of our DevOps topics and actively shape our platform and processes with automation, GitOps and CI/CD. You improve deployment and operation on OpenShift, question the status quo and develop simple, effective solutions – together with software developers, architects, security and partners. Responsibilities

• Responsibility for operation and further development of central platform components such as OpenShift, Container Registry and Monitoring (On-Premise)
• Building, maintaining and further developing standardized build, test and release processes
• Support and gradual modernisation of our existing DevOps toolchain (TeamCity, IIS)
• Proactive incident management to ensure stability and performance
• Ensuring security, compliance and governance requirements in the deployment environment
• Evaluation of new technologies and tools for continuous improvement of the platform and processes
• Creation and maintenance of technical documentation and best practices
• Support of our development teams in containerisation, deployment and operation of their applications
• Close collaboration with development, architecture and IT security

Requirements

• Completed bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or comparable qualification
• Several years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a comparable role as well as sound understanding of build, test, release and DevOps processes
• Experience with containers and platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift as well as container registries (e.g. Harbor)
• Practical experience with CI/CD and Git, ideally with ArgoCD, Tekton and TeamCity
• Experience with monitoring and logging (e.g. ELK stack, Sentry) as well as with security and compliance requirements in the container environment
• C# and/or React knowledge is an advantage
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, quick comprehension and high problem-solving competence
• Enjoyment in designing processes simply and effectively and consistently focusing on added value and security
• Strong communication skills and experience in conveying platforms, processes and knowledge appropriately to the target audience
• Team-oriented, proactive working style and high self-motivation
• Experience with agile working methods and prioritisation
• Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
