About the job
The Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zurich continuously develops its processes and digital system landscape. To strengthen our IT and digitalisation team, we are looking for an analytical, technically skilled and communicative personality at the interface between specialist departments and IT.You analyse workflows and systems, actively identify potentials to increase digital productivity and develop suitable solutions together with the specialist departments. The goal is simpler processes, less manual work, better data utilisation and more efficient working methods.
You think technology-agnostic: solutions can be created with Microsoft 365, Power Platform and AI, by optimising existing systems such as SAP SLCM, via interfaces and integrations, or through individually developed applications. You implement smaller solutions and prototypes yourself; larger projects you design and accompany together with developers, central IT or external partners.

Responsibilities
- Analyse work and business processes and identify efficiency, automation and digitalisation potentials
- Critically question and simplify existing workflows
- Translate professional requirements into suitable technical solution approaches
- Develop and further develop digital solutions, automations and prototypes
- Use modern AI tools for new solutions and to support development
- Implement solutions with Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio and other suitable technologies
- Include SAP SLCM and other existing specialist applications in process and solution concepts
- Co-design data models, interfaces, integrations and cross-system data flows
- Participate in system replacements, migrations and the further development of the application landscape
- Act as an interface between specialist departments, developers, IT and external partners
- Support employees in new digital working methods and the use of AI
Profile
You have a good technical understanding and can assess professional problems from both a process and system perspective.
Ideally, you bring:
- Experience in analysing, optimising and digitalising business processes
- Practical experience in designing or developing digital solutions
- Understanding of data models, interfaces, APIs and integrations
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and ideally Power Platform, Copilot Studio or Azure
- SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Experience with modern AI tools and interest in new forms of software development
- Analytical, structured and pragmatic working style
- High initiative as well as strong communication and consulting skills
