Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts – Business is the Central Swiss centre of expertise in the economically and socially significant fields of business and regional economics, banking and finance, communication and marketing, as well as tourism and mobility.
The Institute for Financial Services Zug IFZ offers education and further training in the financial sector and conducts research and consulting projects for the financial industry.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for you immediately or by arrangement as a
Doctoral Candidate in Banking 70%
Your tasks
- You will develop a dissertation in the field of banking. A technology-related question is preferred, especially in the areas of distributed ledger technology (DLT), artificial intelligence, or another technology relevant to banking.
- You will contribute content-wise and conceptually to practice-oriented research and consulting projects and write studies, reports, and other publications.
- Supervising student work complements your range of activities.
- You will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of our continuing education offerings.
- You will have the opportunity to gain initial teaching experience.
Your profile
- You have an excellent university degree in banking & finance, economics, business informatics, data science, or a related field.
- Admission to doctoral studies at a university is an advantage.
- You are interested in questions related to banking and ideally have relevant practical or research experience.
- Your proven specialist and methodological skills as well as very good analytical abilities will facilitate your entry.
- You have very good German skills (at least C1) and confident communication in English.
- You possess solid programming skills, especially for data analysis and empirical research work.
