Hardware Developer Electronics 80-100% (m/f)

Our hardware development is a central part of our lighting solutions and ensures that our LED and control assemblies function reliably, comply with standards, and successfully go into series production. We are looking for an experienced individual to accompany our electronics development from the circuit design to production maturity and actively shape the collaboration with our EMS suppliers.

Regent Lighting, based in Basel, employs around 600 people in six countries, is the market leader in Switzerland, and one of the leading lighting manufacturers in Europe. Our products are distributed internationally in 35 countries through distribution partners.

Your tasks

• You develop LED and microcontroller assemblies for our lighting and control solutions – from circuit design to the finished layout
• You test, check, and validate your assemblies and ensure their functionality as well as compliance with relevant standards and approvals
• You maintain and operate our electronics CAD system ALTIUM and are responsible for processes from the component library to the release of production data
• You evaluate and assess new electronic components and accompany their introduction into series production
• You are a technical sparring partner for our EMS suppliers and our purchasing department
• You work closely with the firmware, design, and support departments and contribute your expertise to joint solutions

Your profile

• You have a qualification in electronics or electrical engineering (HF/FH/Uni) or comparable practical experience
• You bring several years of experience in the design and industrialisation of electronic assemblies
• You have sound knowledge in digital and analogue circuit technology, measurement technology, and the use of an electronics CAD system, ideally ALTIUM
• You have experience with relevant standards and approvals or have already worked in a testing laboratory
• You are also familiar with firmware; C is not a foreign word to you
• You have a good understanding of mechanical relationships and deliberately consider these in your electronics design
• You communicate very well in English, both spoken and written
• You work in a structured, independent, and solution-oriented manner, take responsibility, and bring initiative as well as quality awareness
