BMC Helix ITSM Consultant (22180 / 60-80% workload)

Task

For one of our clients in the financial services sector, we are looking for an experienced BMC Helix ITSM Consultant to temporarily strengthen the platform engineering team. You will support the operational management as well as the ongoing development of an existing BMC Helix ITSM environment and relieve the internal Lead Engineer. In doing so, you will independently take on technical tasks, analyse problems and implement pragmatic solutions.
Your main tasks include:

• Ensuring stable operation as well as administration and configuration of the BMC Helix ITSM platform
• Independent handling of incidents, service requests and technical issues
• Analysis, troubleshooting and optimisation of existing ITSM processes and configurations
• Support and adjustment of existing integration jobs with Spoon / Pentaho Data Integration (PDI)
• Implementation of adjustments, testing and production-related improvements
• Collaboration with the Lead Engineer as well as internal process and service managers
• Technical documentation and knowledge transfer to the internal team
• Occasional support of an ongoing ITOM project if required

Requirements

• Several years of practical experience with BMC Helix ITSM, especially in administration, configuration and operation
• Sound knowledge of key ITSM modules, especially Incident Management, Problem Management and Service Request Management
• Practical experience with Spoon / Pentaho Data Integration (PDI), especially analysis and adjustment of existing integration jobs
• Good knowledge of ITSM processes and ITIL
• Experience in troubleshooting, testing and technical implementation of platform adjustments
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Ability to quickly familiarise yourself with existing system landscapes and respond flexibly to changing requirements
• Good German and English skills (at least B2)
