About the job
To establish our new compliance department, we are looking for a Compliance Specialist at our headquarters in Zurich starting January 2027 or by arrangement.Compliance Specialist (80-100%)
We offer interesting prospects in the following areas:
- Co-responsibility for the implementation and further development of the firm’s compliance and control system
- Review of new mandates as well as periodic and ad hoc review of existing client relationships
- Conducting risk-based KYC, AML and sanctions checks for natural and legal persons
- Analysis of client risks and assessment of screening hits
- Review of conflicts of interest and support of the corresponding approval processes
- Preparation of decision-making bases for complex or potentially risky mandates as well as escalation of risks to the responsible bodies
- Monitoring regulatory developments and assessing their impact on the firm
- Maintenance and further development of internal compliance policies, processes and controls
- Conducting and documenting compliance controls
- Contact person for partners and employees on compliance matters
- Participation in training and awareness measures
- Preparation of reports and regular updates on compliance topics
Your profile:
- Completed training as a paralegal or a comparable commercial or legal education
- At least two years of professional experience in compliance, preferably in a law firm
- Sound knowledge of Swiss anti-money laundering and sanctions law as well as KYC and CDD requirements
- Ability to analyse complex client structures and economic backgrounds
- Precise, structured and independent working style with quick comprehension
- High degree of discretion, integrity and sense of responsibility
- Ability to communicate decisions clearly and appropriately to the audience
- Very good MS Office skills
- Confident German and very good English skills
