Leading the school: You positively shape the school climate and promote cooperation between teachers and specialists, pupils, parents and the school board. You bring the educational mandate to life together with your team.

Responsibility: You bear the operational responsibility for your location, make independent decisions within the given framework and proactively advance school quality. In doing so, you always act as a reliable part of the cantonal overall system.

Experience: You have professional and leadership experience as well as a teaching qualification for primary school or an equivalent non-school pedagogical qualification and good knowledge in the education sector.

Personality: You are a charismatic leader who boldly takes the lead and motivates your environment. Thanks to your strong communication skills, you build trust, actively involve your counterpart and represent your decisions clearly and appreciatively.

Education: A school leadership or management qualification or an equivalent non-school pedagogical qualification is desired.

The Primary Schools division of the Department of Education Basel-Stadt covers the entire compulsory school period, from kindergarten through primary school to secondary school. It is responsible for school operations and extracurricular care services. The division advocates for an inclusive school where all children are accepted and supported according to their abilities.

The Secondary School Rosental is a young location that opened in summer 2023. It is located directly opposite the Badischer Bahnhof and is housed in a former management building of a chemical company. Currently, around 350 pupils attend the school in 19 classes. It is characterised by a committed team that advances school development through a lively and positive culture of discussion and cooperation.
