Your tasks
- Responsible for correct signage and markings on the cantonal roads in OIK II
- Contact person in the field of road safety
- Preparation of speed assessments for reducing the speed limit and permits for traffic measures
- Support for municipalities in the areas of signage, marking and road safety
- Management and coordination of smaller road construction and traffic engineering projects
- Planning, tendering, assistance and quality control of marking works
- Collaboration with municipalities, engineering offices, authorities and other stakeholders
- Responsibility for deadlines, costs, quality and budgets of your projects
Your profile
- Education in construction, e.g. draughtsperson EFZ civil engineering / technician HF or administrative specialists with experience in civil engineering
- Further training in the field of road safety is an advantage
- Experience in project management, ideally in road construction or traffic engineering
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Negotiation skills and enjoyment of working with different partners and clients

The Senior Engineering District II of the cantonal civil engineering office is responsible in the Bernese Midlands for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the cantonal roads. It supervises the waters and is responsible for hydraulic engineering on the Aare from the Aare Gorge to Wynau.
