Coordinator in the Main Operating Theatre
The Management of the main operating theatre at CHUV is looking for a coordinator in the main operating theatre at an 80% activity rate, to complete its team.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The main operating theatre is a multidisciplinary technical platform comprising 15 elective operating rooms divided into four activity centres designed to accommodate patients requiring scheduled surgery in one of 11 surgical specialties, and 3 operating rooms dedicated to 24/7 emergency care.
Mission
- You supervise the regulation of the operating schedule throughout the day to ensure the smooth running of operating theatre activities
- You supervise, in collaboration with various partners, the planning of operating schedules with a view to optimising shifts and available resources
- You authorise the operating schedules proposed by the different surgical specialties, ensuring their coherence and efficiency
- You guarantee compliance with institutional directives, current recommendations and internal operating procedures
- You manage the Digistat information system to ensure the availability and reliability of data necessary for activity management.
Profile
- You hold a specialised nurse diploma in the operating field or a diploma as an ES operating theatre technician (TSO)
- You have at least three years’ practical experience within the CHUV operating theatre
- You possess excellent organisational skills and promote interdisciplinary collaboration
- You adapt your communication to different interlocutors and manage stressful situations effectively
- You master the activities, processes and various professions of the operating theatre.
Depending on the candidate’s experience, the salary scale is between 10 and 11.
