Architect (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF100,000 - 105,000Role:
On behalf of a client, we are looking for a committed individual as Architect Design & BIM for demanding new build and renovation projects with a special focus on sustainable architecture and modern timber construction. You independently develop design and usage concepts and advance these BIM-based, taking into account design, construction, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. As the interface between the client, authorities, draftsmen, and specialist planners, you shape key project decisions already in the early planning phases. Furthermore, you contribute to the further development of BIM processes, design standards, and digital planning methods.
Responsibilities:
Development of independent design concepts for new build, conversion, and renovation projects
Creation and further development of BIM-based architectural models from preliminary design to approval-ready project
Definition and assurance of high design, functional, and constructive quality standards
Integration of usage concepts, energy efficiency, sustainability, and cost awareness already in early project phases
Review of building law, constructive, and planning framework conditions and development of suitable project optimisations
Development of architectural and constructive solutions with a special focus on timber construction and material-appropriate building
Coordination of planning interfaces between architecture, timber construction, structural engineering, building services, and other disciplines
Function as a link between client, authorities, specialist planners, and internal drafting team
Preparation and support of building permit procedures as well as integration of regulatory requirements into the project planning
Presentation and documentation of design variants, concepts, and decision bases for clients and project participants
Active further development of BIM workflows, design processes, and internal planning standards
Ensuring planning according to relevant SIA standards as well as Swiss building and planning regulations
Qualifications:
Completed architecture studies at FH, ETH or university level
Professional experience in design and project planning, ideally in Swiss building construction
Solid BIM competence in modelling, coordination, and planning detailing
Good knowledge of relevant SIA standards as well as Swiss building and approval procedures
Experience or strong interest in timber construction, sustainable building, and energy-efficient architecture
Strong understanding of the connection between design, construction, and cost-effectiveness
Very good German language skills spoken and written
