About us
Working for the City of Zurich means committing yourself with more than 30,000 people to the common good and the population of the largest city in Switzerland.
The Child and Adult Protection Authority (KESB) of the City of Zurich, with around 110 employees, is the largest German-speaking Swiss specialist authority in the field of child and adult protection. It is an independent authority administratively assigned to the Social Department. The KESB orders child and adult protection measures and reviews all related legal transactions. It does not itself perform care functions but delegates these to guardians and supervises the mandate management.
