Community Police Officer (60%)

The Therwil Community Police focuses on the following key areas:

• Control of stationary and moving traffic including speed measurements

• Warden duties outside the settlement area including the Therwil forest

• Control of parking spaces within the framework of parking management

• Collaboration on the municipality's security arrangements

• Participation in community events

• Support of other emergency services in case of incidents

• Presence at the start of school and at or in front of schools

• Control of suspicious persons and emergency assistance

Your contribution to peace and order in our community includes the following activities:

• Patrol duties

• Performing regular on-call, late and weekend duties, as well as readiness for unscheduled emergency deployments

• Telephone and counter service and administrative tasks in cooperation with administrative staff

• Reviewing applications and issuing permits

• Writing reports and statements

Requirements:

• Completed police or border guard training with a professional certificate or diploma

• Knowledge of traffic engineering and road traffic law

• Good IT skills: Microsoft Office and specialised software applications

• Very good oral and written communication skills

• Team spirit, loyalty, good manners as well as a friendly and assertive manner

• Initiative, commitment and flexibility

• Impeccable reputation
