IT Security Engineer - Cloud & Cyber Defence (m/f/d)

Role:
Cyberattacks are becoming more sophisticated, IT infrastructures more complex, and security concepts more demanding. For technically skilled security specialists, there is an opportunity to help shape modern protection architectures, proactively identify vulnerabilities, and sustainably strengthen the digital resilience of business-critical systems.
Responsibilities:
Development and further development of modern security architectures for hybrid IT environments and cloud platforms
Analysis of threat scenarios, vulnerabilities and attack patterns to detect potential risks early
Implementation and optimisation of security monitoring with SIEM and XDR technologies
Implementation of zero-trust concepts, identity and access management, and contemporary access controls
Automation of security processes through scripting, APIs and infrastructure as code
Conducting technical security analyses and supporting penetration tests as well as red team exercises
Integration of security-by-design principles into development and operational processes
Development of technical measures to improve incident response, detection engineering and cyber resilience
Qualifications:
Solid experience in IT security, cyber defence, system engineering or a comparable technical role
Good knowledge of network architectures, operating systems, authentication and encryption
Experience with security solutions such as SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management or IAM
Familiarity with cloud security concepts and modern infrastructure technologies
Knowledge of Python, PowerShell or Bash for automating technical processes
Analytical thinking, strong security awareness and enjoyment of complex technical challenges
Independent working style and interest in current attack techniques as well as innovative protection mechanisms
