Alab AG, a company of the Thommen-Furler Group, operates a well-equipped chemical-analytical laboratory for the quantitative determination of inorganic and organic parameters. Due to extensive experience and focus on the analysis of pollutants in waste, wastewater, and contaminated sites, Alab AG is a competent partner for industry and commerce, waste incineration and sewage treatment plant operators, contaminated site remediators, and the public sector.

To complement our laboratory team, we are looking for a

Chemical Laboratory Technician 80-100% (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Perform and release wastewater and waste analyses (incoming, outgoing, and process control);

• Carry out testing and calibration work as well as their documentation;

• Assist with maintenance and servicing of analytical instruments (AFS, GC, IC, ICP, TOC, XRF);

• Handle customer complaints within the scope of quality control;

• Assist in developing and validating analytical methods and their operational implementation.

You bring:

• Completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician EFZ or equivalent qualification;

• Experience in a comparable role, ideally in instrumental analysis using spectroscopic (ICP, AFS, etc.) and chromatographic (GC-FID, GC-HS, etc.) instruments;

• Experience in an ISO17025 accredited laboratory and/or in a GMP/GLP environment is advantageous;

• Good user knowledge of common MS Office applications as well as experience with an ERP and/or LIMS system;

• Fluent German in spoken and written form, French and English skills are an advantage;

• Quick comprehension as well as an independent and precise working style;

• Reliable, committed team player with a service-oriented attitude.
