Qualified Nursing Specialist

Acute ward S2 or T2 (S2 with a treatment focus on psychoses or T2 with a treatment focus on affective disorders)
The acute wards S2 and T2 cater to people in psychiatric emergency situations who require immediate assistance. We offer these individuals professional support. We provide help during the acute phase. This includes psychiatric emergency care with thorough diagnostics, appropriate treatment, and prompt assessment of the social situation. The goals of treatment are the restoration of everyday skills, the development of possible coping strategies, and the stabilisation of self-esteem.
The wards have different treatment focuses:
S2: Psychosis
T2: Affective disorders
Both wards operate using the Safewards model and are generally run as open wards.
Your Tasks
Flexibility and enjoyment of variety are central points. Because that is exactly what working in acute psychiatry means.
If this applies to you, here are some of the most important tasks:
- Key worker role: We treat our patients individually according to their needs and maintain contact with relatives
- In addition to individual conversations, group activities take place, which are also led by nursing staff
- Our interprofessional collaboration is a huge strength and distinguishes us. Active participation and contribution are central components of this collaboration
- As we work with permanent night shifts, you will be deployed in a two-shift system (early and late shifts). If you still want to do a few nights occasionally, that is certainly possible.
Your Profile
Professional competence, service orientation, and a great deal of humour are the most important qualities you must bring. With these qualities, we achieve the best treatment outcomes for our patients, and the team is pleased that you will become part of it.
If you have experience in nursing but not in the psychiatric field, entry is still possible. It is then crucial that you bring a lot of motivation and commitment to acquire the specific skills. Within the framework of our extensive internal offerings and generous support for further education and training, you can learn about the various therapy methods and then apply them yourself. Of course, you will also be supported by your new colleagues.
Our Offer
- Innovative employer with strong interprofessional collaboration
- Very good development opportunities with generous support for further education and training
- Various discounts (e.g. with Reka checks, health-promoting offers, selected leisure activities, and online shops)
- 5 weeks’ holiday, 27 days from the age of 50, and 32 days from the age of 60
- Excellent catering options at very fair prices and much more...
We would be happy to present our employee benefits in a job interview.
