About the job
Clerk for Municipal Accounting and Debt Collection of Supplementary Benefits 80 - 100%
Your role is demanding and varied.
Are you looking for a position with responsibility, a dynamic environment, an open feedback culture, opportunities for participation, and a healthy work-life balance? "De Foifer und s’Weggli" then? That’s fine, because we also expect a lot from you. But first things first.
We conduct the supplementary benefits business on behalf of our 99 affiliated municipalities. You ensure professional advice on accounting matters and are responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as statistical reporting to our supervisory authority.
Another part of your duties includes ensuring and monitoring payments for reclaimed supplementary benefits.
Supplementary benefits help where IV or AHV pensions do not cover the costs of everyday living expenses. Each case is calculated individually and reviewed periodically. Our clients must report any changes that could affect their entitlement. This does not always happen. Our task is to reclaim overpaid benefits. Reclaiming supplementary benefits requires clarity in the matter but also a good sense of the clients’ situation. As a Customer Advisor for Debt Collection, you develop viable solutions for the repayment of benefits in discussions with insured persons or their representatives.
Your responsibility for debt collection covers the entire process, from reminders to arranging instalment payments, to enforcement or write-off of claims. In debt collection management, your good numerical understanding is important, but so is your enjoyment of communication. You have frequent contact – both written and by phone – with clients as well as with various internal and external parties.
You complement our team with your skills.
You have prepared for this demanding role with a commercial education (Profile E or M or equivalent business school). In addition, you have several years of professional experience in debt collection. Ideally, you have several years of experience in accounting and social insurance. You are proactive, act independently, and enjoy working with numbers. You are open, eager to learn, and like to work independently, carefully, and efficiently. You think in a connected way and can flexibly handle the challenges of a dynamic environment.
We offer a lot.
