WRS Widmer Rail Services AG is a family-run railway company (EVU) operating in the three linguistic regions (German, French, Italian) of Switzerland as well as in Germany, Italy and Austria. For this purpose, WRS uses its own extensive fleet of locomotives, its own shunting capacities and its own personnel (locomotive drivers and shunters) and, if necessary, also trains them independently. WRS operates from several locations in all parts of the country to provide its customers with perfect service.

Due to ongoing growth, we are looking for a flexible and team-oriented personality for our motivated small team at the workshop in Balsthal with immediate effect or by arrangement as

Your challenges:

• Detecting & rectifying vehicle faults
• Carrying out maintenance, repair and overhaul work on locomotives
• Inspection and maintenance of locomotives
• Support and implementation of project work on locomotives
• Continuous participation in further training & courses

What you should bring:

• Completed mechanical or electrical training with experience on large equipment
• Railway technology experience as well as practical knowledge of pneumatic & hydraulic systems advantageous
• Good German language skills in spoken and written form (at least level C1)
• Driving licence category B
• Willingness for on-call duty & irregular working hours (possible between 04:00 – 22:00)
• Analytical & solution-oriented thinking with precise & independent working style
