About the job

For an established daycare centre in the Zurich area, we are looking for a committed, responsible and strong leadership personality as Daycare Manager (m/f/d) 100%.

In this versatile role, you will take on the operational management of the location and, together with your team, ensure professional, reliable and high-quality care of the children.

Your tasks

• Professional and personnel management of the daycare team
• Ensuring a high pedagogical quality
• Implementation and further development of the pedagogical concept
• Planning a needs-based and efficient deployment of personnel
• Conducting employee interviews as well as supporting and developing staff
• Promoting a respectful, binding and professional team culture
• Organisation and leadership of team meetings
• Supporting new admissions and settling-in processes
• Professional and trusting collaboration with parents and caregivers
• Conducting parent, location and demanding conversation situations
• Handling feedback and complaints in cooperation with customer service
• Ensuring compliance with legal, operational, hygienic and safety-related requirements
• Responsibility for administrative and organisational processes at the location in cooperation with administration
• Identifying potential for improvement and actively further developing processes and quality standards
• Collaboration with internal departments, authorities, educational institutions and external partners

Your profile

• Recognised pedagogical training in childcare, social pedagogy or a comparable recognised qualification
• Training or proven expertise in personnel management
• Several years of professional experience in supplementary family childcare
• Minimum age 25 years
• Leadership experience as daycare manager, deputy daycare manager, group leader or in a comparable role is an advantage
• Sound pedagogical expertise
• Enjoyment of personnel management and team development
• Very good organisational and planning skills
• Strong commercial thinking
• Clear, appreciative and binding communication
• Decision-making ability and strong sense of responsibility
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style
• Professional handling of demanding situations
• Very good administrative and digital skills
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form
• Good English skills in spoken and written form
