Manager of the CHUV Housing and Parking Units
The CHUV housing and parking unit is seeking a unit manager at an 80% rate (permanent contract). The position is to be filled from 1 November 2026 or as agreed.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) is tasked with ensuring that care, teaching, and research units can fully focus on their core activities by providing and developing efficient operational logistics services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilisation, catering, goods transport, stock management, housing, parking…).
The housing unit, attached to the Directorate of the Hospital Logistics Department, manages staff housing and on-call rooms. The mobility and parking unit, attached to the same department, manages parking, mobility, and CHUV staff.
Mission
- You ensure the coordination and management of the housing and parking units
- You are responsible for the billing process (on salary, invoice, disputes and litigation)
- You monitor interventions by contracted companies or interventions by CIT (Technical Engineering Constructions)
- You optimise all unit processes
- You welcome and inform users in the various locations (housing, condition reports, reception desk...)
- You manage the unit teams (7 people).
Profile
- You hold a commercial employee CFC or an equivalent qualification and have a federal property manager certificate (an asset)
- You have at least five years of experience in property management
- You have excellent command of French, both spoken and written
- You have a good level of English, spoken and written (minimum B2)
- You are proficient with common office software
- You have a strong sense of organisation, planning, and priority management
- You possess excellent listening and communication skills. You are diplomatic and able to defuse difficult situations.
