About the job
Office for Mobility
Intern Plan Administration 60 - 80%
The Office for Mobility is the cantonal centre of expertise for all questions concerning mobility. Whether on two or four wheels, on foot, by train or by plane – mobility should be attractive, reliable, affordable and at the same time climate-friendly. We shape the mobility offerings of tomorrow today, taking into account population and economic development, environmental policy goals, and technical innovations. With us, you can expect an exciting working environment, meaningful tasks, and committed colleagues.
Do you work in a structured way and keep an overview even with large amounts of data? Are you interested in current construction and planning files as well as historical plans of road projects? In the plan administration of the Office for Mobility, we manage the central file storage and documentation of state roads and civil engineering structures in the canton of Zurich. Research in the file holdings, advice on file storage, and management of the holdings are our core tasks. This creates the basis for well-founded decisions in traffic and infrastructure projects.
We are looking for you from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement as an intern in plan administration (limited to 12 months).
Your main tasks
- Participation in the implementation of the digitisation of our file holdings (including quality control of metadata)
- Preparation of files and planning of processes and quality controls in the context of scanning the files by an external company
- Participation in the preparation of file transfers to the state archive
- Participation in general plan administration tasks such as customer enquiries, research and information
- Participation in the management of storage rooms
Our requirements
- You are studying at a university of applied sciences or university – a technical background is an advantage but not a must
- Quick comprehension and interest in construction-related topics and systematic file storage
- Technical understanding and imagination
- Strong geographical understanding
- Very good knowledge of Office applications
- Physical resilience and independent working style
- Sense of responsibility and discretion
- Team spirit and good written and oral communication skills
Our offer
We offer you a varied range of tasks in a lively environment and a motivated and well-coordinated team. You can profitably apply your experience and competence in this exciting and varied activity. You benefit from our modern employment conditions with a workplace directly at Zurich main station.
