SOCIAL EDUCATOR ON A PERMANENT CONTRACT FOR THE MULTIDISCIPLINARY INTERVENTION AND OBSERVATION UNIT AT 100%
Your mission
- Ensure individual educational follow-up through observation, evaluation and objectification of the resources and difficulties of each young person’s situation aged 14 to 18,
- Promote the development of each young person’s personal projects by encouraging their full involvement, supporting and assisting them in carrying out their project by mobilising their resources,
- Encourage and support young people in the development of their relational and communication dynamics with their living environment,
- Organise and participate in partner network meetings and collaborate with the professionals involved in the cases followed,
- Continuously assess risk-taking, and the personal and social situation of each young person,
- Write summary documents and ensure necessary communications with authorities, partners and the young person’s circle,
- Participate in the analysis of complex situations and in conferences aimed at continuous improvement and development,
Your profile
- Training as a HES educator or equivalent qualification,
- For foreign qualifications, SEFRI recognition,
- Solid confirmed professional experience in residential care with adolescents and/or in low-threshold intervention and street work,
- Knowledge of the Vaud health and socio-educational network,
- Ability to understand and manage complex situations, resolve conflicts and negotiate,
- Capacity to work with people suffering from emotional regulation difficulties and/or trauma related to their life paths,
- Strong emotional stability and ability to maintain professional distance,
- Agile personality, collaborative spirit appreciating teamwork and fostering an entrepreneurial mindset,
- Ability to develop reflective practice on professional work,
- Availability for irregular hours during day, night and weekends,
- Driving licence and vehicle required,
- Residence close to the canton of Vaud,
