When a disruption occurs, it is not always enough to just look at the visible error message. In this role, you analyse technical contexts across the entire stack and ensure the stable operation of applications and platforms. You combine classic system engineering with automation and modern container technologies.
Responsibilities:
You operate internal and customer-side applications and accompany their entire lifecycle from installation through updates to replacement
You ensure reliable and transparent operation with monitoring and backup
You take on tasks in 2nd-level support and work closely with customers and manufacturers in troubleshooting
You systematically analyse errors across various levels—from application logs and databases to servers and network
You automate deployments and recurring operational tasks with Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible or Helm
You integrate applications into the existing Rancher-/RKE2 container platform
You support the further development of the container and orchestration environment
You also work on servers, virtualisation and Microsoft 365 services as needed
You assist in maintaining the internal workplace environment
Qualifications:
You have training or a degree in computer science or bring comparable practical experience
You have experience operating Linux and/or Windows servers
You are familiar with PostgreSQL, web servers, and reverse proxies
You have experience with automation and scripting
Ideally, you have knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker and Rancher
You enjoy delving into complex technical problems and approach troubleshooting in a structured way
You understand technical dependencies between application, database, infrastructure, and network
You work independently, solution-oriented, and reliably
You have very good German and English skills
