We are looking for an immediate start or by arrangement for a
Finance and Accounting Specialist 60 – 80 %
Our Roman Catholic parish of Lenzburg corresponds to the pastoral area Region Lenzburg with around 11,000 Catholics in 19 political municipalities.
The church council, as an elected body, is responsible for personnel, finances and properties. It is supported by the parish administration in administrative and organisational tasks. To complement this, we are seeking a finance and accounting specialist who, together with the mandated fiduciary company, ensures and further develops the parish's financial administration.
What it involves
- Financial accounting: You actively participate in day-to-day business and manage creditors and debtors including dunning, payment runs and bank bookings in HiSoft eGov.
- Closures & controlling: You assist with quarterly and annual financial statements according to public law requirements, monitor business processes and prepare key figures as well as liquidity planning.
- Payroll accounting: You manage payroll accounting including social insurance, expense claims and hourly wage personnel settlements.
- Budget: You contribute to budget planning, support ongoing budget control and provide meaningful financial information.
- Audit: You prepare the necessary documents for the finance commission and the external audit office.
- Collaboration: You work closely with the mandated fiduciary company, the administrative management and the finance department of the church council.
- Processes and digitalisation: You further develop existing financial processes and contribute to efficient, digital and transparent procedures.
- Property administration: You support administrative tasks related to properties, rentals and reservations.
- Deputy: In defined tasks, you act as deputy for the administrative management.
What you bring
- Commercial basic training with further education in finance and accounting or equivalent qualification
- Solid professional experience in finance and accounting
- Experience in public administration, a municipality or parish is an advantage
- Confidence in using digital tools and interest in efficient processes
- Independent, precise and structured working style
- Reliability and strong sense of responsibility
- Enjoyment of working in a small team and with diverse stakeholders
- Fluent German in spoken and written form
