Tasks
- Administrative organisation and coordination of practical training in the Bachelor’s degree programme in Social Work
- Advising and administrative support for students, lecturers and practical trainers
- Organisation and coordination of supervision for students and practical trainers, from group allocation and scheduling to communication with supervisors and event organisation
- Recording and maintenance of achievements in university systems (e.g. Evento, Praxistool)
- Management of address data, archiving of documents (e.g. myDossier) and preparation of statistics and grade sheets
- Administrative support of contract management, including enrolments, target agreements and final qualifications
- Analysing and further developing processes within own area of responsibility as well as identifying and implementing digital and automated solutions
- Active participation in working groups and projects
- Supporting the admissions area with aptitude assessments and taking on deputising roles
Profile
- Solid commercial training with several years of professional experience in a comparable administrative role; ideally in the education or university environment
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, excellent interconnected thinking and the ability to quickly recognise relationships
- Implementation strength and a pronounced enjoyment in questioning, further developing processes and creating new, practical solutions
- Solid digital skills with experience in optimisation and automation and enthusiasm for actively shaping processes
- Confident German language skills, both spoken and written
- Strong organisational talent, as well as high quality and responsibility awareness
- Communicative and service-oriented personality with enjoyment in contact with different stakeholders
- Willingness and interest to reliably and independently handle recurring tasks as well as actively participate in processes and projects
- High initiative, team spirit and flexibility

The Department of Social Work is one of the eight departments of the ZHAW, which is one of the leading educational institutions in social work in Switzerland and offers education and training, research and development, as well as services. The department is divided into four thematically oriented institutes, the Central Services division and the Education and Development division (ABE). The Bachelor’s administration and programme management are part of the ABE and are responsible for the design and implementation of the programme with around 800 students.
In this versatile role, you are responsible for the administration of practical training for the Bachelor’s degree programme. In collaboration with your team colleagues and module coordinators, you contribute significantly to the efficiency, quality and reputation of the Bachelor’s degree programme. You convince with your open and communicative manner, your interconnected thinking, your precise working style and your ability to work in a team.
