Head of Office / Municipal Clerk
Directly reporting to the municipal president, you lead the municipal office with the areas of office services, resident services, social affairs, libraries and legal services with a total of 18 employees. You plan and accompany the business of the municipal executive board, the municipal council and the municipal assembly. This includes the preparation and follow-up of meetings, minute-taking as well as the editorial processing of messages, motions and resolutions. Together with the legal service, you ensure the legally compliant handling of business. Furthermore, you are responsible for elections and votes, official publications, the municipal archive as well as various approval and service processes. You further develop the office, optimise workflows, drive digitalisation forward and participate in cross-departmental projects.
For this versatile role, you have a solid education and training in public administration, municipal clerkship, public management, law or business administration. You bring several years of leadership experience within a municipal administration, a municipal office, a presidential area, a legal service or a comparable function. A good understanding of administrative and municipal law, confidence in dealing with political authorities and fluent German are prerequisites.
