- 100%
- Permanent position

About the job
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and solution-oriented individual as a DevOps / Platform Engineer (m/f/d). You will take responsibility for our delivery pipelines and runtime infrastructure across cloud and on-premises – from Terraform to TLS certificates, observability, and code signing. Shape the digital future with us!
Your responsibilities:
- Operation and further development of delivery pipelines and runtime infrastructure for our solutions across Azure and on-premises, Windows, MacOS, and Linux
- Maintenance of Terraform, Docker as well as reverse proxy and TLS solutions including code signing
- Building and operating the observability landscape (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Prometheus, Graylog)
- Operation of CI/CD pipelines on GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Assistance with automatic deployments of servers, agents, and also regular clients
- End-to-end responsibility for incidents – from alert through root cause analysis to postmortem
- Automation of recurring processes as well as creation of runbooks and ADRs
Your profile:
Must-haves
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps/SRE/Platform Engineering, including 2+ years of end-to-end responsibility for productive infrastructure
- Expert-level Docker and Terraform for multi-subscription/multi-environment setups
- Azure operational experience (VMs, VNet/NSG, KeyVault, ACR, Managed Identity) and on-premises virtualisation (Hyper-V/VMware/Proxmox)
- Windows server and Linux server administration (PowerShell 7, IIS, WinRM / systemd, nginx-Caddy, SSH hardening), CI/CD on GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps Pipelines, as well as TLS/PKI know-how (Let's Encrypt, code signing)
- Database operation with PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server; confident scripting in Bash and PowerShell
- Networking and security know-how (DNS, reverse proxy, least-privilege principles, image/dependency scanning)
Nice-to-haves
- Kubernetes experience (AKS or on-prem k3s/RKE) as a prospect for a possible future direction
- JVM operational experience (Timefold/Quarkus) as well as advanced SQL Server or Redis knowledge
- German language skills from level B2 for communication with on-prem customers (IT admins)
You are a good fit for us if you…
- Take end-to-end responsibility for incidents and keep a cool head even under pressure
- Prefer to automate everything rather than intervene manually
- Work just as confidently with Windows as with Linux environments
The role is less suitable for you if you…
- Prefer to manage only a single platform – either only cloud or only on-premises
- Prefer documented, manual click operations over clean automation
What we offer you:
🤝 Global network: Exchange of best practices within the Volaris group
🕓 Flexibility: Remote/hybrid models, flexitime, modern working methods & family-friendly culture
🚀 Career & development: Individual development plans, mentoring, internal mobility, and group-wide perspectives
🧭 Ownership: Real responsibility, short paths, visible impact
🔒 Stability: Permanent contract & market-appropriate remuneration
