The Responsibility
As a Senior Domain Architect at UBS Card Center, you combine extensive infrastructure know-how with leadership skills. You design the architecture of the IT infrastructure in the card and payment environment, document the architecture landscape, and make decisions regarding the technical lifecycle. At the same time, you take on professional leadership, act proactively, and bring the right people together to drive digital transformation and operational efficiency.
The Role
- Development, documentation, and further development of the architecture landscape and roadmap for the infrastructure of card processing and payment solutions
- Establishment and management of transparent architecture governance including clear decision-making processes
- Proactive advancement of infrastructure topics: You moderate and coordinate cross-departmental teams and ensure binding and documented decisions
- Evaluation of new technologies (e.g. cloud platforms, containers, security solutions) and making sustainable architecture decisions
- Optimisation and redesign of IT infrastructure processes to ensure efficient, stable, and secure operations
- Close collaboration with business stakeholders, development teams, as well as enterprise/solution architects to translate business requirements into robust technology solutions
- Definition of architecture standards as well as support for business cases and investment proposals for technology initiatives
What We Expect
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of experience as an infrastructure architect or in a similar architecture role, ideally in the financial services or payment environment
- Very good understanding of IT infrastructure (networks, platforms, cloud, security) and their interaction in complex environments
- You like to take responsibility, actively tackle issues, can make decisions, and align stakeholders towards a common goal
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; you are confident at management level, convey technical content clearly, and initiate change
- Fluent German skills (at least B2) and very good English skills
