Your responsibilities:
- Training members of civil protection and course participants in civil protection according to the latest methodological and didactic principles.
- Deployment as course instructor and class teacher in cantonal courses.
- Developing and writing materials for courses in the assigned specialist areas.
- Creating qualifications for course participants.
- Participation in projects within the framework of civil protection.
- Participation in the Cantonal Command Staff.
Your background:
- Completed vocational training in commercial and/or technical fields.
- Management training in the field of civil protection, army or border security and customs.
- Experience in adult education (SVEB advantageous).
- Very good communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to complete the civil protection instructor training with a federal diploma (approx. 36 weeks spread over two years) in Schwarzenburg BE.

Office for Military and Civil Protection (AMB)
The Office for Military and Civil Protection (AMB) is an operational, training and administrative organisation. The AMB is a service unit with around 50 employees within the Security Directorate of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft.
The AMB is responsible for the deployments of the Civil Protection Operational Unit, the training in civil protection as well as for personnel and management in civil protection. Administrative tasks include, among others, army duties on behalf of the federal government or the operation of the Liestal barracks. Furthermore, the AMB prepares operational and contingency planning and provides logistics and administrative services.
