Swissmechanic Zurich stands for practical vocational training, technical competence, and the skilled workers of tomorrow. In our training centre, we support apprentices, conduct various courses, and assist our member companies in training and further education, including adult education.
Swissmechanic Zurich is looking for an Electrical & Automation Specialist (80–100%) for its training centre in Effretikon.
We are not necessarily looking for an already experienced teacher or course instructor. What matters to us is your professional experience and the joy and passion for passing on your knowledge to the next generation.
What to expect with us
You …
-impart your expertise in a practical way to apprentices and young professionals
-conduct practical inter-company courses (üK) in the field of electrical and automation
-support young people in their professional and personal development
-gradually take on the methodological, didactic, organisational, and material responsibility for a training area
-contribute your experience and ideas to the further development of our training offerings
-work closely with training companies, trainers, and other partners from the MEM sector
-take on additional tasks in our training centre depending on interest and experience
What you bring
You have completed a technical vocational training, for example as:
Automation Technician EFZ | Switchgear Assembler EFZ | Electromechanic | Automation Assembler EFZ | Electronics Technician EFZ or have a comparable qualification in electrical / automation.
Ideally, you also bring:
-several years of practical professional experience
-good knowledge of control technology, electrical engineering, or automation
-experience with PLC programming is an advantage
-enjoy working with adolescents and young adults
-interest in passing on your expertise and developing yourself in vocational training
-an independent, structured, and responsible way of working
-strong communication skills and enjoyment of collaboration
-very good German language skills
No experience as a trainer or course instructor yet? No problem.
A pedagogical or didactic further education is an advantage but not a requirement. We support you in familiarising yourself with this role and developing further.
