GenAI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implementation and further development of RAG cases on a GenAI platform in the banking environment
• Develop, implement and evaluate robust, production-ready GenAI solutions, especially Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), using modern AI technologies and proven software engineering practices
• Create, deploy and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs to support GenAI applications, inference and real-time integration into enterprise systems
• Technical conception and implementation of new requirements for AI use cases (RAG, patterns, self-service) as well as their ongoing development and optimisation
• Collaboration with cloud engineers, business engineers, data scientists, other DevOps teams and stakeholders from the business units to transform prototypes into operational solutions
• Continuous monitoring and tuning of the deployment of GenAI solutions in production environments to ensure reliability, scalability and alignment with business objectives

Requirements

• Several years of experience in engineering GenAI solutions, especially Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), as well as prompt and context engineering
• Familiarity with frameworks and tools such as LangFuse, LangChain and other leading technologies
• Solid knowledge of cloud platforms, ideally based on Azure, and services such as App Service, Container Apps, Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI Search or comparable cloud platforms
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, API development for model integration, as well as LLM tracing, LLMOps & evaluations
• Proficient programming skills in Python, as well as scripting languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell)
• Experience with test automation, automatic deployments and iterative validation of GenAI solutions
• Fluent German language skills
• Good English language skills
