We are a small, versatile team of three people operating central platforms for internal and external users – with curiosity, personal responsibility, and a high quality standard. Our focus is on the further development and stable operation of Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management) as well as the Switch websites and their content management systems.

We are looking for you – a responsible personality with a flair for automation, system integration, and platform operation who wants to further develop Switch’s Atlassian and web landscape together with us.

DevOps Engineer with Focus on Atlassian Tools (80-100% - all identities and backgrounds)

• Operation, administration, and further development of Jira and Confluence instances (Data Center)
• Responsibility for upgrades, migrations, and technical quality assurance
• Automation and integration of processes and systems (e.g., with Jira Automation, Python, REST APIs)
• Support of internal teams in 2nd and 3rd level support and implementation of new requirements
• Maintenance and modeling of configuration elements (workflows, issue types, permissions, etc.)
• Management of Jira Assets including configuration of object schemas, automation, and integration into ITSM processes
• Development of data connectors for integrating data into the EAM system
• Education in computer science, with a university degree or completed vocational training as an IT specialist EFZ (application development, platform development, or system technology)
• Solid experience in administration of Jira, Jira Service Management, and Confluence (ideally Data Center)
• Knowledge in automation, scripting, and data integration (e.g., Python, Shell, JSON, REST)
• Understanding of IT service management processes (e.g., ITIL) and their mapping in Atlassian tools
• Experience with Jira Assets (EAM) and basic data modeling understanding
• Analytical thinking, personal responsibility, and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly
• Teamwork, pragmatism, willingness to learn, and very good German skills (at least C1); English for technical exchange
