Head of Migrant Care Sector

About the job

Your main missions will be as follows:

• Ensure the strategic and operational management of a cantonally significant sector dedicated to the care of migrant populations;
• Carry institutional and departmental orientations while contributing to their evolution;
• Participate in defining the vision, priorities and objectives of the sector with the head of department and guarantee their implementation;
• Supervise, support and unite unit managers as well as teams, representing around 70 collaborators;
• Guarantee the quality, coherence and interdisciplinarity of services delivered across the various sites of the canton;
• Develop and consolidate collaborations with partners;
• Represent the sector with internal and external bodies and contribute to the department's activity outreach;
• Lead development, innovation and transformation projects responding to the emerging needs of the populations concerned;
• Ensure rigorous and efficient management of human, financial and organisational resources in connection with support services;
• Contribute to the sector's research and scientific valorisation activities.

Your assets:

• Bachelor-level training in the field of care or another domain, complemented by team management training;
• At least 5 years of team management experience in the health sector;
• Successful experience in managing an interprofessional team as well as project management;
• Experience in the field of migration or low-threshold networks is an asset;
• Fluent command of the French language both spoken and written, and knowledge of English is desirable;
• Ease in operating within a complex environment involving institutional, political and societal issues;
• Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships and represent an organisation with diverse stakeholders;
• Unifying leadership, negotiation skills and excellent influencing ability;
• Analytical and synthesis skills.
