About the job
The Lucerne Symphony Orchestra is the resident orchestra at the KKL Lucerne and the opera orchestra of the Lucerne Theatre. It organises an annual symphonic concert cycle, several chamber music series, as well as the piano festival "Le piano Symphonique" at the KKL Lucerne.
The orchestra also performs guest appearances domestically and abroad and regularly goes on international tours. As the oldest symphony orchestra in Switzerland, it has gained international recognition far beyond its Lucerne home. A broad music education programme and innovative multimedia productions complement the institution's profile.
We are looking for a
Specialist in Personnel and Financial Administration (60%)
Right in the heart of the musical scene. With responsibility for people and numbers.
In this versatile role, you combine personnel administration, payroll, and financial administration. You work independently, carefully, and discreetly, contributing to the reliable and professional functioning of our internal processes.
Your tasks
Personnel & Payroll
You take on central tasks throughout the entire administrative employee lifecycle:
- the creation of collective labour agreement (GAV) and Code of Obligations (OR) employment contracts, work and interim references
- participation in quality assurance of all personnel-related work processes
- processing payroll for permanent and temporary employees,
- handling personnel changes with social insurance partners,
- reporting and accounting for maternity and paternity leave as well as accident and illness cases
- accounting for cantonal withholding taxes
- obtaining and renewing work and residence permits
- maintenance and management of personnel master data
Finance & Administration
You also take on responsible tasks in the financial area:
- organisation, accounting, and booking of all cash registers
- checking, payment, and booking of personnel expenses including credit cards
- checking, payment, and booking of fees to soloists, conductors, and other musically involved organisations
Your profile
You have a commercial education and further training in personnel and/or accounting with a professional certificate/diploma. You already have several years of professional experience in a similar position.
Furthermore, you bring:
good knowledge of Abacus or a similar accounting systemExperience with digital workflows and structured data management in personnel areaa very precise, efficient, and independent working styleEnjoyment in independently handling diverse tasks and maintaining an overviewhigh reliability and discretion in dealing with confidential personnel and payroll dataexcellent written and spoken German skillsgood English skills are an advantage
