Our ICT is a central pillar of the University Children’s Hospital of Basel (UKBB). It ensures the smooth operation of clinical and administrative applications and thereby supports the medical care of our patients daily. In an interdisciplinary environment, our IT combines technical expertise with a strong understanding of the requirements of a modern hospital operation.

Start date: immediately or by arrangement, limited to 12 months

Your tasks

• Assisting with the support of the Clinical Information System (CIS) KISIM as well as the laboratory system i/med
• Supporting the maintenance and processing of master data in the CIS and LIS (e.g. methods, findings)
• Assisting with the configuration of findings and cumulative findings
• Assisting with PHP programming (e.g. adjustments or creation of laboratory profiles)
• Supporting the introduction of new modules and functions
• Participating in projects in the area of ICT applications
• Assisting in 2nd level support for the supported applications (after introduction)
• Creating and maintaining documentation, mockups and other technical documents

Your profile

• Ongoing or completed training in the IT field (e.g. computer science, media technology, ICT specialist) or comparable interest
• Initial experience or strong interest in application support and IT support
• Confident handling of Microsoft solutions (Windows 11, Microsoft 365)
• Enjoyment of structured, independent working methods as well as reliability
• Strong willingness to learn and interest in technical platforms and solutions
• Affinity for healthcare and interest in hospital daily life
