Your tasks:
The Institute for Humans in Complex Systems deals with the question of how complex systems are to be designed. In doing so, we pursue the following goals:
- Optimization of the fit between requirements and personal characteristics
- Increase of reliability and safety in socio-technical systems
You lead the institute and the staff according to strategic guidelines and take on tasks in the following areas:
- Personnel, financial and professional management of the institute
- Assumption of overall responsibility for the strategic orientation of the institute and its implementation within the framework of the extended service mandate
- Provision of own services in the areas of education, further training and application-oriented research and development within the framework of the institute's profile
- Participation in the management and strategic further development of the University of Applied Psychology as a member of the university management as well as its representation in various committees
- Future-oriented further development of the profile and organization of the institute
- Promotion of cooperation with other institutes and centers of the university and the FHNW
- Maintenance of regional, national and international networks in science and practice as a contribution to the positioning of the institute and the university
Your profile:
For this demanding position as professor, we are looking for an initiative and engaging personality with a university degree and a doctorate in psychology, specializing in work and organizational psychology. You are characterized by:
- Several years of professional experience in the university and corporate context
- Passion for taking on management and leadership tasks
- Proven competence and sensitivity for leading experts in a knowledge organization
- Demonstrated experience in acquiring, planning and conducting or leading application-oriented research and development projects related to the institute's profile
- Methodological-didactic qualification in university teaching or willingness to acquire it promptly
- Networking with corporate practice as well as knowledge of the Swiss university and funding landscape
- Entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as experience in shaping innovation processes
- Higher education didactic qualification or willingness to acquire it during the first years
