Team Leader and Socio-Pedagogical Contact Person 80 - 100% (m/f/d), Uster
Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centers for families, individuals, and unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (MNA) at currently six locations in the canton of Zurich on behalf of the Cantonal Social Office Zurich (KSA) since March 2024.
In this responsible role, you combine leadership skills with socio-pedagogical expertise and actively shape the development of the team and youth.
Your tasks
Leadership tasks
- Professional and personnel leadership and advice of the MNA residential group team, solution-oriented intervention in problems, conflicts, and challenges
- Planning of personnel deployment according to personnel requirements planning in coordination with the center management
- Participation in the recruitment of additional staff in the team
- Preparation and follow-up as well as conducting team and house meetings including case discussions
- Promotion of the professional development of employees
- Representation of the residential group towards internal and external bodies
Specialist tasks
- Socio-pedagogical and psychosocial support and care of the youth
- Promotion of the youth in various areas of life (school, leisure, health, finances, etc.) with individual, resource- and competence-oriented objectives
- Crisis intervention and conflict resolution
Our requirements
- Completed recognized socio-pedagogical training (or equivalent)
- Experience in the migration field and/or youth work desirable
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Very good German skills, additional foreign language skills are an advantage
- Intercultural competence
- Willingness to work varying hours
- High sense of responsibility and quality awareness
- Initiative and independence
- High resilience, ability to cope with stress, and assertiveness
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Impeccable reputation
