We are a cool kitchen team that cooks with passion and sticks together. With us, you learn everything about cooking step by step – and help conjure up fine dishes on the plate every day.
This is what you will do with us
- You learn how to prepare food properly – whether steaming, braising, sautéing or gratinating, you try out many things and continuously develop your skills.
- You help with goods receipt, check deliveries and learn how to store food correctly.
- You check the quality and freshness of food and develop a good sense for what really convinces.
- You prepare fine and attractively presented dishes and also implement work instructions in English.
- You work cleanly and carefully and naturally comply with hygiene and safety regulations.
- Sensible and targeted use of kitchen appliances

About us
Barmelweid offers you an attractive working environment in a family atmosphere, where collaboration and mutual support are paramount. We work closely with various specialist disciplines and support each other in everyday life. During your training as a chef, you will gain exciting insights into different areas of the kitchen – from cold and hot kitchens to patisserie.
Even outside work, camaraderie is not neglected: In our internal "fitness studio" you can train as an apprentice for a one-time fee during off-peak hours. In addition, sauna and indoor pool are available to you free of charge. At the annual apprentice outing, you have the opportunity to meet other apprentices and exchange ideas with the experienced "apprentice hares".
