INNOMEDICA IS A YOUNG NANOTECH COMPANY with around 50 employees, a number of promising drugs in preclinical and clinical development and its own clean room production. The pipeline is based on a liposomal delivery system and includes in particular applications in the fields of neurology (new approach to treat Parkinson's disease) and oncology (chemotherapy).

In this position, you will drive the development of our liposomal drug products in the fields of neurology and oncology. You will manage a small, dedicated team while remaining actively involved in hands-on laboratory work. Beyond the lab, you’ll support cross-functional pharmaceutical development project groups.
Your job profile includes:
- Responsibility for a small team and organization of the department and laboratory
- Design and execution of experiments regarding the formulation and process of existing drug prototypes
- Working towards the discovery of new prototypes in liposomal drug delivery, and their characterization
- Development, characterization, and translation of liposome production processes from laboratory scale to small industrial scale
- Planning and realization of preclinical studies together with external collaborators
- Data analysis and interpretation, report writing
- Development and application of analytical methods for product characterization
- Active involvement in interdepartmental projects (e.g. with regulatory, production, clinical research)
As prerequisites for this exciting position, we expect a PhD in a relevant scientific field, e.g., in (bio)chemistry, (molecular/micro)biology, biomedical research, or pharmacy. A strong scientific background is essential, and experience with liposomes is considered a plus. You have excellent interpersonal skills and prior experience in leading a small team. You enjoy working creatively in the lab, demonstrate strong initiative as well as team spirit and are excited to participate in the dynamics of an innovative start-up company. Furthermore, good communication skills in English are required; knowledge of German or French is beneficial.
