Are you motivated by the idea of leading a specialised Financial Lines Claims team and managing challenging national and international claims for our major clients together with your team? Would you like to use your leadership experience and expertise in Financial Lines to further develop our claims service and create sustainable solutions for our clients even in complex matters?

In this role, you will strengthen the Claims business area at Zurich Switzerland in the International Claims sector and be responsible for the Financial Lines Claims team. Together with your team, you ensure a high-quality claims service, especially in the D&O, professional indemnity including Financial Institutions, as well as Crime and Cyber lines, and manage complex claims and legal proceedings. You will work closely with clients, brokers, co- and reinsurers, legal representatives, and internal partners, continuously developing your team, our claims processes, and collaboration with the relevant business areas.

What to expect

• You lead and develop the Financial Lines Claims team and create the framework for high professional quality and first-class claims service
• You are responsible for managing complex national and international Financial Lines claims and support your team with challenging cases and negotiations
• You maintain strategically important relationships with major clients, brokers, co- and reinsurers, as well as other internal and external partners
• You ensure transparent performance and claims reporting and represent Financial Lines Claims to management and relevant business areas
• You develop claims processes and working methods together with your team and strengthen cross-departmental knowledge transfer as well as strategic collaboration with Underwriting and other relevant internal and external decision-makers and stakeholders.
  
  

What distinguishes you

• Completed law degree with many years of professional experience in the Swiss legal and insurance environment (Swiss bar admission advantageous)
• Several years of experience in Financial Lines Claims, insurance law, or a comparable international insurance environment
• Leadership experience with proven responsibility for the professional and personal development of employees
• Outstanding communication and negotiation skills as well as confident stakeholder management at top executive level at Zurich and with our clients, even in complex and demanding claims cases
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
