If infrastructure is not only to function but also to be scalable, secure, and economical in the long term, high-level technical engineering is required. This position combines architecture, cloud engineering, and operational responsibility and offers the opportunity to actively shape demanding ICT landscapes.
Responsibilities:
Development of modern architectural concepts for server, cloud, network, and security platforms
Technical responsibility for business-critical ICT services and complex infrastructure environments
Design and further development of hybrid cloud, hosting, and platform architectures
Evaluation of new technologies regarding security, scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness
Development of technical standards, reference architectures, and operating models
Technical leadership of demanding cloud, infrastructure, hosting, and migration projects
Support of transformation initiatives from architectural concept to productive implementation
Development of strategies for backup, recovery, high availability, and business continuity
Analysis of complex disruptions and management of sustainable solution approaches
Optimisation of monitoring, alerting, patching, and automated operational processes
Design of technology roadmaps and long-term infrastructure strategies
Integration of security and data protection already in the solution architecture
Consulting technical and specialist stakeholders on complex IT issues
Promotion of engineering culture, knowledge transfer, and technical coaching
Qualifications:
Higher education in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable technical field
Several years of experience in system engineering, infrastructure engineering, or ICT architecture
Solid knowledge of complex server, cloud, network, or security environments
Experience in designing and implementing hybrid IT infrastructures
Practical experience in technical leadership of demanding infrastructure or transformation projects
Strong understanding of architecture, operations, security, and service management
Ideally experience with Azure, VMware, Linux, Microsoft technologies, or comparable platforms
Experience with automation, infrastructure as code, or modern deployment methods is an advantage
Ability to structure technical complexity and create understandable decision bases
Strong customer orientation and confident communication at various levels
Initiative, high reliability, and enthusiasm for technological advancement
