Our client, the municipality of Crans VD located in the district of Nyon, has 2,500 inhabitants and covers nearly 440 hectares, between the motorway and Lake Geneva. Deputy Municipal Technician, Building Control
As the true right hand of the Head of Service, you hold a central role within this municipal administration of 13 people. You are the deputy to the person responsible for building control and actively participate in the proper development of the municipal territory. You enjoy a wide degree of autonomy in managing your files and have a cross-sectional view of construction projects, in direct contact with the authorities, contractors, consulting firms, companies and owners.
Main tasks
- Manage the technical and administrative aspects of requests related to building control, tree felling requests and use of public land
- Analyse files, ensure their legal and technical compliance
- Collaborate with engineering offices, architects and other contractors
- Draft correspondence to owners and contractors and ensure follow-up of procedures until the building permit is issued
- Monitor and inspect construction sites on location
- Substitute for the person responsible for building control in their absence
Your profile
- Federal VET Diploma as draughtsperson, geomatician or technician ES in planning or construction management
- Proven experience in Switzerland managing construction files within a municipal administration, civil engineering office or architects
- Proficient in reading construction plans and familiar with standard IT tools
- Good knowledge of the regulatory framework related to construction
- Fluent spoken and written French
- You stand out for your autonomy, analytical mind, sense of responsibility, proactivity and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders
