Your responsibilities :

• Personnel and professional management of the Protective Structures department
• Overall project management for the demand planning of protective facilities
• Ensuring and coordinating the shelter construction control in cooperation with the municipalities
• Planning, process development and continuous further development of the Protective Structures specialist area

Your background :

• Completed HF training in one of the areas of planning, building construction, civil engineering, electrical engineering, HVAC or automation with many years of professional experience or a completed degree with corresponding experience in the specialist area
• Many years of experience in project work
• Customer-oriented manner and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge in the use of MS Office

Office for Military and Civil Protection (AMB)

The Office for Military and Civil Protection (AMB) is an operations, training and administrative organisation. The AMB is an office with around 50 employees within the Security Directorate of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft.
The AMB is responsible for the operations of the Civil Protection Operations Association, the training in civil protection as well as of personnel and management in civil protection. Administrative tasks include, among others, army duties on behalf of the federal government or the operation of the Liestal barracks. Furthermore, the AMB prepares operations and contingency planning and provides logistics and administrative services.

New establishment of the Protective Structures department as of January 2027

The Protective Structures area will be managed as an independent department from January 2027. We are looking for a head of department to lead the new team.
